Welcome to the Worcester Public Summer Reading website!
On this website you will find information about the Worcester Public Schools summer reading requirement including reading lists and resources, tips on how to support reading development, incentives and fun events in the community, as well as other resources to support your child's learning.
Summer is an exciting opportunity for students to enjoy good books! Reading at
least 20 minutes every day is an important part of reading development, at any age
or grade, and a great habit to develop to help meet summer reading targets.
Please note that different grades have different reading requirements.
Find something interesting, sprawl out in the sunshine, and enjoy escaping into
a great book!
One of the most exciting aspects of the summer reading program is choosing what
you want to read. Click on Reading Lists for some great suggestions brought to
you by the Worcester Public Schools, as well as other organizations. There are
many great ways to get books--talk to your teachers, visit a local library or the
mobile library, a bookstore, or even access thousands of free books online
(see Digital Text)! (Quoted from the WPS Summer Reading Website)
